Student Leadership – Lion Leaders
At Valencia Park, our Lion Leaders program for 3rd-6th graders empowers students to use their voices and take an active role in shaping our school community. Students collaborate with staff to plan events, support PBIS initiatives, welcome visitors, and model what it means to Be a LION—to Lead Responsibly, Interact Respectfully, be Overly Ready, and Navigate Safely. Through leadership meetings and service projects, Lion Leaders learn teamwork, empathy, and accountability—skills that last well beyond elementary school.
Student Broadcast Club – The Mane Event
Our student-run broadcast program, The Mane Event, gives 3rd–6th grade students the opportunity to learn about media, communication, and storytelling. Working as anchors, reporters, and crew members, students create weekly video segments that highlight school events, share PBIS messages, and celebrate achievements across campus. Guided by staff advisors, The Mane Event helps students build confidence, creativity, and collaboration while keeping our school community informed and connected.
