English Learners Advisory Committee (ELAC)

What is the purpose of the English Learners Advisory Committee?  ELAC members have the ongoing responsibility to provide input to the principal and school staff on the most positive and effective strategies for teaching English Learners. They also provide input on the most effective ways to support the full participation of English Learners in all school activities. ELAC also gives input on the most effective ways to ensure regular school attendance. Most importantly, it provides the opportunity to have Valencia Park representation at the district level by the attendance of elected officials at the District English Learners Advisory Council (DELAC) meetings.
